Is it normal i cant stand unnecessary help ?

I hate when people help me with things that I can clearly do by myself. I know it's a bitch like thing to say, I do appreciate the offer, but I DONT WANT THE HELP.
For an example: I was making dinner for my family and my sister in law wanted to help. I am an exceptionally good cook, and I'm very controlling in the kitchen, which is why I prefer to cook alone ( I like things done a certain way, and I hate when people try to change my routine or recipe). I turned her down politely and thanked her for asking, but then the bitch had the balls to dip her finger in my sauce and insisted on adding more salt.. I was about to go ape shit, but I kept my cool in respect for my brother..
Anyway, I just prefer to do things alone, in my own sanitary way. Is it normal that I don't like any form of help from other people ? It's not out of pride or anything, I just like things done correctly, and I feel I'm the only one that I can trust to do so.

the part when she put her finger in the source I can fully relate to.

I feel the same way when they start telling me what to do.

If I need help I will ask for it.

  • I don't like unwanted help either. I like doing things my own way without other people ruining it for me.

I almost never require assistance with anything, so it's incredibly annoying when foolish plebs try to help me with things they don't know shit about.

I felt something similar at my old job. Whenever it got packed, someone from another department(sometimes a manager) would be sent to help and they'd wind up making things worse since none of them knew how to use the ovens or any of the other machines. Between me and another co-worker of mine, we pretty much ran that area by ourselves.

I understand how you feel. I much prefer being the driver, be it a car, truck, boat or airplane. I KNOW when I'm in charge nothing will go wrong and no one will be hurt.
In over 50 years I've never had anyone seriously injured, when I was in charge and that includes some pretty serious situations, like storms and hurricanes at sea and at anchor.
