Recently I confessed to my boyfriend of a mere 10 months I don't yet fully trust him. This angered him. Honestly, it took me 6 years to invest all of my trust in my best friend. Is it normal it takes me this long to trust?
It's normal to a extent. I can see why your man is upset, but he shouldn't be so angered over it. I have the same problem, but it depends on the people. For instance, I trust the users more on here then I do with most people offline. I've known my family for many years and a part of me still doesn't trust them. I've been hurt many times in the past, because I was too trusting. So, maybe that's it? There's a girl I've known since august and I trust her with things that don't really I trust others with, but they're some things that I still keep to myself. It really depends on the person and the situation, but I don't know if it's really normal or not.
Your boyfriend isn't going to wait on you forever, as the above poster said. Honestly, if I were him, I would have left you by now. Trust issues of that magnitude are a sure sign of emotional instability.
Has he cheated on you? Lied and not admitted it? Do you have a good reason not to trust him?
Or are you blessed with money, supermodel good looks or something else that he could use you for?
Did you have had a bad experience with trust some time? This may be the cause.

6 years? Wow, that's a very long time for someone who's serious about being in a relationship to wait. Maybe you need to open yourself up to the idea of trusting him because he can't wait forever.
Careful, guys who get mad that you dont trust them are usually the ones you shouldn't. Especially the ones who say how much they hate cheaters.
