I believe the whole 'twin telepathy' thing is bullshit. My brother and I can sense each other's emotions, but so can people that have siblings (not twins) or even close friends. So I don't think twins have any special powers or anything.

I can remember the first time this happened. I was at a friend's house, I was like 11 or 12, and the thought popped into my head 'my brother is jacking off' I quickly brushed off the thought, and I felt kind of like a pervert. But when I got home and took a shower that night, there were a whole bunch of cum covered tissues in the trash can.

And it's been going on ever since. It'll hit me no matter where I am. I could just be walking down the street and the thought just appears out of nowhere. And, I do my brother's laundry, so I know it's true. He's not very careful....

It doesn't bother me that he does it. But, I feel bad because I feel like I'm intruding on his privacy. Also, What if he can sense when I masturbate? I'm too embarrased to ask. Should I tell him that I know when he masturbates? IIN?

    Do you not think it's more likely that he wasn't masturbating exactly when you think he was, but just happened to masturbate at some point that day, as most young men do, and you just have freaky, random thoughts about your brother touching his cock?

    Much more logical than some kind of incest-masturbatory-telepathy.

    "twin telepathy" could just be a result of people being raised together in such that you two share such a deep subconscious understanding of each other that you can adequately predict the other's behaviour. Who knows, there may indeed be some telepathy involved too.

    Here's my theory:

    Like you, yourself suggested, this kind of bond is not necessarily specific to twins.
    I believe the phenomenon can manifest between any two individuals that share a close bond.
    I believe it is dependant on having a complete understanding of the other's personality and behavioural patterns.
    Growing up together certainly helps; the more time you spend together, the better of an understanding you develop of each other.
    Identical twins get a huge head-start on this as a good portion of one's portion is genetically inherited.
    It has been proven that identical twins, separated at birth and raised in different households, exhibit more similar behaviour than fraternal twins raised in the same house.
    (Maybe this is also why they stand a good chance of coincidentally meeting each other in the future - if they like the same stuff they're likely to go to the same places)
    Back on topic... If you're identical twins and you grew up together, this bond is much more likely to manifest than in any other situation.
    Given the somewhat regular occurrence between twins, in comparison to other situations, it's quite understandable how it came to be known as "twin telepathy"

    As to whether this involves actual telepathy, or an understanding so deep that you can predict the other's behaviour, I am still undecided.

    If you go with the telepathy theory:
    It's because he's concentrating very hard on one thing.
    Instead of concentrating on the world around him and thus, processing thousands of mixed thoughts, he's concentrating on only one thing, fapping - Thus, inadvertently making his thoughts clear for you to read.

    If you go with the prediction theory:
    You subconsciously know his behaviour so well that you inadvertently predict the exact time that he'd be feeling horny enough that he's going to fap ASAP.

    If you two are similar enough for it to work for you, he likely has access to this information too.
    It only depends on whether he's consciously aware of the subconscious thought process that is processing this information.

      So it's very possible that this information is passed both ways too.

      Why not?
      You guys can have some interesting discussions over this.
      Just don't do it in a creepy or overly direct way. (e.g. opening with "I know when you fap!")
      You don't want to creep him in the event he isn't experiencing the same thing.

      There's also the possibility that he didn't notice before, but may start noticing when YOU fap if you tell him. However, if you don't have this discussion, you will never know.
      On the plus side, he may also take some precautions to make his fapping times less obvious to you, and that's a good thing, right?

      Whichever way you look at it, that's an interesting discussion that I wouldn't want to miss out on if I were you.
