Is it normal i am sad they are changing the sales mascots ?

Am I the only one kind of sad to see they are changing all the mascots for the cereal and all these other products which some of them have had for over 40 years . I do not know its like something I held to my heart has died . No sweet memories as it all is changing. What was wrong with all the other characters anyways ? Am I the only who found new Looney tunes terrible.

What a lot people don't realize is that Cartoons are constantly evolving. So shut up about it, ok? http://www.filmscouts.com/zgifclip/spa-jam/bugs... I myself prefer the Homesteader Droopy to the original.

Take for example the character Daffy Duck. At first Daffy was a ridiculous wacky character with the trademark "Woohoo" Daffy continued to get popular. Then the stars of looney tunes started meeting each other. Porky, Daffy, Bugs, Tweety, and Foghorn did not interact but that changed (Hell, I think Porky started that change.) What I'm describing is the 1950's not 2012. Was change a bad thing? NO! It completely rerooted Daffy's personality from the crazy goofball to the bitter loser. But it gave gems such as "Duck Season. Rabbit Season! Rabbit Season. DUCK SEASON! FIRE!" Later through out the decades Daffy's character became completely dependent on Bugs Bunny. The recent show Duck Dodgers removed Daffy dependency of comedy from Bugs (While movies like Space Jam and Back in Action reinforced it.) It was a good show. Looney Tunes Show (the new one you hate) balances the crazy Daffy and the bitter Daffy while upholding the wiseguy Bugs. And it's actually a new show not those mashups of old footage that were sold in the 80s. While Looney Tunes Show has some things that I don't like such as the transformation of Witch Hazel and Gossamer I do think it's a good show with good writers.

It's normal to be nostalgic for things like that, but remember that you're not in the target demographic for those things anymore. The things from your childhood aren't objectively better than newer things, they just have emotional associations for you.

It annoys me a little bit when people talk about how awful they think new cartoons and such are, because I think a self aware person should be able to think and realise that their own nostalgia isn't objectively valuable. It's fine to have that emotional attachment to things from your past, but it's a bit silly to let that cloud your judgement to the point where you get bitter about modern culture. There have always been pretty good cartoons and pretty awful cartoons (since the invention of cartoons, at least). The good ones today won't seem as good to us as the good ones from our childhoods, because we aren't seeing them through the eyes of children or the lens of good memories.

Personally I don't mind. Things change. Its a part of life. If things didn't change, it would get boring.

Why can't they change moscots to something dumb and stupid? America and Australia did.

They're not abolishing Tony the Tiger, are they? I feel like a part of me would die if they did that.

Is there a website link or a video that states a revamp of the cereal brands? I can't find anything on it, man. I want to see which ones are going by the wayside.

They're getting rid of Tony? This is the worst news I've ever received on IIN. :(

I didn't know there was a new Looney Tunes. I also admit, I much prefer old classic icons compared to new ones.
