when ever im flirting withh a cute guy, i always make things akward. so then he will glance at me like im weird.
some of the things i do are= smile too much, laugh weirdly, end up staring, say weird random things.
can i get any advice?
It's just a confidence thing; the more you do it, the easier it gets. If it helps, I've said some incredibly stupid things in my time. Also, if you're flirting with someone and they seem nervous, it can be really quite cute so you may not really be harming your chances. Knowing that, in itself, might make you more relaxed about it too.
Either that, or we do a Cyrano de Bergerac thing and next time you meet a guy, you wear an earpiece and I feed you some lines to say. :P
Dont think of him as a guy, think of him as a buddy. Just talk to him just as if he's ur gf. That way its u being real. When ur fake its obvious and u look lame and pathetic.
The only people who are not awkward when they flirt are the ones who don't mind making a fool of themselves :)
I'm sure that's normal. Trust me, you probably don't look as stupid as you feel. I've felt super stupid flirting at times, and looking back, the guys never thought I was stupid looking trying to flirt. xD You'll be fine. Everything takes practice, and the more you practice, the better you get. (:
You're doing better than I used to. When I was 14, and I wanted to flirt with a girl, I acted worse. I would get things going, but then things got awkward and I panicked, and I would just start making out with her.
