Is it normal i am not white and dont care if my race is on tv?

I am not white and I really don't care if my race is on tv. People make a huge deal that their particular race isn't on tv. I didn't know what race I was till age 12 since that when all the kids started picking on each other because of race.

I really don't care if all the shows I watch are nothing but white. I also hate when they do show my race in cartoons since they are always ghetto and gangsters. I mean you can be something besides white and not a gangster.

So I would prefer watching a normal white kid than a coloured gangster. Saying this race is nothing but gangsters is making us look bad anyways but others in my race seem to approve when they show this.

So its is normal I don't care if they have nothing but whites on tv even if I am not white. Also before you ask "No im not black". I really don't care what colour the people are in these shows or cartoons. I like the show for the show itself. I don't understand why race is so important.

I actually care that everyone is represented (not just by race). I'm one of those people that get irritated if all I see on television are "Barbies" and "Kens".

Only in USA people speaks so much about race.
Look you belong to the same race as I do. The human race.
    That's it.
    What a nonsense and uncivilized.

I agree with Mr-Myrtos. I am black and the only time I realise that I am black is when I am here and see a post about race and once when I was living in another country.

I hate movies with too many testosterone-crazed men sweating it up and acting they are the reason the world rotates and shit.

Lately I see more and more shows and movies trying to represent a variety and races as the hero, and I do appreciate this.

Lol that is such a lie. Blacks are cast in plenty of roles in TV and movies, outside of your little gangster/criminal stereotype.

What does that have to do with what you said? Don't spout your lies and not expect to be called out...

I can name plenty of extremely successful black actors right off the top of my head who didn't have to play a character that fit into black stereotypes.

        • I told you I am not black. You don't pay attention very well do you? So your comment is irrelevant. Please read the post.

You don't have to be black for what you said in your original post to be a fallacy.

You said you'd rather see white people on tv than other races being portrayed as gangsters.

In other words, you're suggesting minorities only get to play roles suited for their negative stereotypes.

            That is false.

            • No this is FACT. Since people assume that is what it means to be that race. So they will show them as ghetto and I would rather not see mine on tv if that is what they are portrayed as. Also that does not apply to everyone unless you are saying everyone who isnt white is black. Which is not true at all. Get that nonsense out of your head.
