Is it normal i am emotionally attached to any book i read?

I don't mean attached as in like... I cry over all the characters or that I just get obsessed with the settings, etc. I mean, I seriously love most I read, but just a book itself. After I read a book, I just don't want to give it back or anything (I do though, of course...). The ones I own I just couldn't imagine leaving anywhere. I always look at them remembering when I read them, how I felt, what I was doing while reading them, why I read it, etc. Even when I am especially upset, I look at them. Looking at them all sitting on the shelves just soothe me. And also, could this come from me being depressed in a way?
