Is it normal how much i like birds?

I don't know why, But I just love birds, nothing weird, I just think their the most godly and cute thing on the planet and I really want one, a conure probably. I'd name them Am I. But I think my obsession with them has led me to liking birds more then people, I spend more time with Minecraft parrots(I have 36 and counting currently) then with people outside of my family and friends per week. I've cried because of a Minecraft parrot and how cute it was and because of the fact I don't have a real bird, I've studied on how to care for them, train them, wean baby birds and I'm still learning more just desperately wanting a little feathered friend and will do absolutely anything for one, even if they don't necessarily like me. But I'm going to take an educated guess this isn't normal.

    I love birds! I currently have 4 birds. I've always loved birds, even when i was small. I totally understand your love for birds~!

    It's fine to like birds that much but why are they so special that they are better than humans, and what's with the minecraft parrots

      Their not better it's just I'd prefer they're company over most people, and Minecraft parrots are the closest I can get to owning an actual bird at the moment.

        oh ok that makes more sense, i kinda get it, if i'm angry at people i just want to be left alone and would rather hang out with dogs or something, why can't you get a pet bird?

    I like birds in nature personally but wouldn't want a pet. Everyone I know that has them they're loud as shit and unpredictable and would be covered with a sheet to shut them up. I have a friend who had one that was mean af and it would let itself out of the cage and one time I crashed at her place and i wake up with that thing standing on my chest staring at me ready to peck out my eyeballs. I about shit myself. So... not a fan. But to each their own.

    It's probably not normal to be that obsessed with birds, but I have no room to talk because I'm obsessed with turtles/tortoises. Like, I have 9 pet tortoises and an aquatic turtle. They're super spoiled. And my room is filled with turtle figurines. I'd rather hang out with my animals than most people. You should definitely get yourself a pet bird if you have the time for it :)

    i have a cockatiel, they are very loving, mines sweet and very skiddish but she likes to cuddle with me when no one else is around, id recommend a bird, they are very soft (and have a unique smell), i cant speak for most birds, but cockatiels are easy to take care of (as long as you have the time to hang out with them)

    Well don't be alarmed but you may have just a minor social integration issue. Though I'd suggest finding somebody you trust to talk about these feelings. I find it concerning that you prefer their company to real people.

        Okay, well, not too weird but the obsession over pixel cube birds is a bit strange.
        Just get a bird I guess, at least it sounds like you'd take good care of it.

          I'm probably going to obsess for pixel birds for awhile, my family doesn't like birds or animals in general so I have to wait to move out and get a pet friendly apartment
