Is it normal how much i lift for my age?

So i'm 18 years old and weightlift. I weigh 173 pounds and am 6' 2". I bench about 200 pounds, deadlift about 300 pounds and leg press 375 or maybe a little more. Is this normal? Could I enter any weightlifting competitions? Amateur of course, and for my weight and age.

For sure dude, by the end of my senior year I was putting up 400 on bench and at least 600 on legpress and last time I check dead weight doesn't do shit for you, try squating some time.

    Dude...I was 5'7" and weighted 145 lbs when I was 18 and benched 255, squated 405, and dead-lifted 405.

    YOU THINK YOU'RE TOUGH, EH?

    YOU SUCK MAN....YOU'RE 6'2" AND YOU'RE 172 LBS. ..... . SMALLLLLLL YOU'RE FREAKIN SMALL.

^haha I'm a freshman and bench 265 and squat 365. And you shouldn't do deadlift it doesn't do shit. The three main lifts should be squat bench and power clean

a, it's normal, and b, you need to put on about thirty pounds.

I mean, you don't *have* to, you're fine, but your numbers look low for competition. You're going to need to be about 210 just to counterbalance the weights.

Don't do anything stupid to get there, tho. There are people who know how to do this stuff safely and effectively. First person I would ask is the athletic director at the nearest college or university (seriously, just look him or her up, call and ask - they live for that stuff, and your initiative might just get you some financial aid - it don't get much better than a free college education, bro).

    Good luck!
