Is it normal hollistic lifestyle

I have a friend who I met last summer at camp. He's from Norway and is into all this "organic living" stuff. He's a vegetarian and only eats organic. He only uses recycled paper products, wears clothes made from recycled materials, etc. He even catches rainwater to be boiled and used for drinking/bathing. This is a life style I could never lead but at the same time I completely respect him for being as environmentally friendly as he is. There's just one thing about him that I find really weird: he bottles and stores everything that come out of his body. Literally everything. It's disgusting. He built a shed that's about 600 feet from his house to be used for storing these bottles but you can still smell it across his property. He has bottles of his urine, feces, blood (from cuts/scrapes)... he even bottles his own tears! He claims that this is similar to tribal beliefs that all parts of a hunted animal should be used and nothing should go to waste. I don't know much about Norway, but is this considered "normal" over there?

I was going to ask if he is single and hot and then I read on.... No thanks!!
Being environmentally aware is great but not to that extent!
I knew people who had a farm and they grew veggies using compost from there own poo! They gave their kids (one of them being my housemate)some of the veggies including a big pumpkin, needless to say I refused to have any.
Sounds obsessive to keep bottles of all those nasty things... Yucky

I've never heard of a tribal belief that did that... If he reuses everything, I'd really hate to imagine what his waste is being used for. That's not normal. It's fucking disgusting and disturbing.

This story doesn't make sense. If he had a little shed out back that he was putting all of his bodily fluids in DAILY, it would be completely full extremely quickly.

You make it sound as though the shed is a permanent storage place, when obviously these things MUST be recycled.

There was an episode of "Hoarders" in which the guy stored three sheds worth of feces/waste in jars.

He probably has a compulsive disorder...mixed in with his green lifestyle.
