Is it normal he took this long to tell me he wasn't a virgin?

My fiancee who i've been with for 3 years (We have a 7 month old son together) finally told me that he's had sex with his ex yesterday. It started off as drunk fun but he got serious and spilled the beans. The thing is, when we first became friends he had told me he was a virgin and he maintained the story, even when i lost my virginity to him he said, we had lost it together. I guess it hurts alittle but i already knew. He was too hung up on his ex and when i met him plus some other stuff that had gave it away. I don't care if he's been with other women, even if it was just one, virgins are pretty rare lol. So when he confessed, i laughed and assured him i had already knew. I just wanted to get some clearity on when he didn't tell me this sooner.

  • Maybe he really wished he'd lost his virginity with you instead of her - and his lie was more for his own benefit than yours.

When the juices are flowing, shit just happens, some times it's best to let sleeping dog's lie.

It's kind of weird, but I can see how this sort of thing happens. My guess is that when he originally told that little fib he didn't yet take his relationship with you that seriously, later on he did and he no doubt regretted the deception but was afraid of wait you'd think when he admitted lying in the first place. Oh what a tangled web and all that.

I did something similar before... The thing is that on my first time I didn't really feel "right". So I just told my next significant other that we had my first time together.

He sounds very insecure. Sometimes drugs and alcohol can be like a truth serum of sorts.

I dunno, I guess I'd be stuck with him if we had a kid together and he was a good guy otherwise. To tell you the truth I'm happy to be alone for now because I've had more than my share of bad judgment in the past.
