    Most new music i hear on the radio has realy stupid lyrics, mostly about partying and being a dumb slut. And the new rock music is so lame.

    Most people like music from when they were kids, because it was the first music they got into.

    Your preferences are definitely normal and understandable. The most detestable thing about current music is when it rips off samples or lyrics from classic songs and makes a mess of it.

    I like modern music better but if you're talking about popular music, then I would definitely go with the classics. I think that people are getting more and more talented, but they just aren't the popular groups.

    There are a lot of talented (and fun to listen to) groups nowadays. You just have to search harder. Unfortunately, the most talented groups are not given star-status these days. I will agree with you that most popular music right now is trash.

    Different genres different likes and dislikes, whatever. I love crust punk, metalcore and death metal but still love 70s, 80s music, both English and Spanish. Everyone has a different taste, like me, I don't get pop music like lady gaga and the rest of those. I also don't get reggaeton or dancehall. People say what I listen are just screams, but they could never understand the complexity of the genre. Just let them be. ;)
