Why is he an asshole. People are allowed to like whatever they want.
Now, if he had fucked her and immediately dumped her by saying that afterwards, THAT would be an asshole.
I give him props for being honest and straightforward.
He may not be an arsehole, but he's an idiot. If he asked her out presumably he was attracted to her, so what did it matter how old he was and didn't fit into his silly rule about age?
He's not an arsehole for not wanting to date someone over a certain age, he's an arsehole for phrasing his disinterest as such. It was necessary info. If age alone is so important to him that it's enough to put him off someone he's already expressed attraction to, perhaps he should clarify age prior to asking someone out. Avoids embarrassment.
I always said I had no interest in dating men younger than me. Had only dated men older by at least 3 years. Then I met my boyfriend. He's two years younger. It's no big deal.
I know being rejected hurt your ego, but believe me he did you a favor. He is obviously an asshole, and had you started to date him he would probably just prove himself to be a piece of shit.

I don't care for age. Apart from the obvious, needs to be 18 n over but under 55 or maybe under 59, yea i'll make it to under 59.
Well, honestly I wouldn't date a woman older than me either. Everyone has standards when it comes to dating, but as another comment says, I would ask about age in the beginning to prevent such awkward situations.
It’s all up to preference too many people here are hating on personal preferences. Why judge if the person has reasonable standards?
This is an excellent opportunity to talk about how males make standards, if we set the bar too high and we don’t get any takers, we lower the bar until we do.
Usually 27 seems to be the age when people are finally mature. In this guy's case, he probably has the mentality of a teenager.

Nope, I think he's probably just a pig, because if it was matter of a two year buffer he would open to dating women between 25 to 29. He's just another on of those douchebags who thinks he's too good to date women his own age, and in fact only wants to date younger women, because he objectifies women. I bet if met a 17 year old he be chomping at the bit to go out with her, because he feels entitled to younger women.

Everywhere I go that cards I get carded wich suggests I look decently young. The only guys who ask me out are at least 50 in appearance. It's easy to keep yea k of the whole 3 guys that have asked me out myg whole life. So I mean some guys just like young girls. It's normal, but he's definitly not a good option then. Fuck that guy
A lot of times it is not even the "handsome" 50 but the "rode hard and hung out to dry" 50. I am not into men but the few I would like need to be clean looking.

Yea I understand ya, one was definitly hung out the dry, the other was pretty cool, he comes into my job occaduomalky we just talk for a little bit, he's a photographer a really good one at that. Really sweet guy I hope he finds someone nice
