Is it normal gold, or ads?

Would you rather keep the gold system, or would you mind if is it normal used ads to generate money (which are easily blocked by using Ad Block, which is a must for any web browser)

Gold, I've got plenty of money to waste on sites like this 18
Ads, I want to be able to do some fun stuff 39
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

If I were Udi, I would have both. More money and everyone is used to ads anyway.

Definitely Gold. I don't want ads, at all. And what's the point of getting ads, if everyone is just going to block them? Although I do think the PM feature should be available to all members. For one, it would lead to fewer off-topic conversations on posts.

I don't know. I had gold then I quit the site and cancelled my subscription. I don't think that the features you get by being a gold member is worth the $5.

Umm... your options are kind of biased toward ads. I don't have plenty of money to buy Gold with, but I wouldn't give it up for ads and more fun activities. I'm content with how it is.

Most people want to troll when they first get here. It's like culture shock. Just as when trolls gain the privilege of thumbing down after a while and abuse it relentlessly, they will do the same with the other features.

Either way the site needs money to function. IIN is one of a few sites that isn't plastered with advertising that eats up precious bandwidth.

And it isn't easy to get advertisers to advertise on a site.

Either one would work well. I like the site as it is, but that doesn't mean a change would be bad.

    Ultimately, it's up to management.

I don't use Gold, but I'd rather IIN continue having an opt-in subscription service (where even non-paying members still have a very, very good level of functionality) than ads for everyone.
