Most people do not have their own med records. I'm probably one of the few people who request and keep them.
I thought your medical record was stored somewhere in a central medical database and any doctor can see in there. All they need is a computer and your name and date of birth and they got your medical record.
Yeah, I move around a lot so I just mentally keep track of the little quirks in my health and bring it up to the doctor during the appointment.
A lot of people go to walk in clinics when they are sick. Doctors do not require you to have your medical records but they highly recommend that you do so that they can more easily assess your health by your past history. If you stick with one doctor from now on then you wont have to worry about this in the future. Unless you are one of those people that doctor shops just to get prescribed controlled substances.
