Is it normal getting really nervous talking in front of groups?

Usually when I am in front of a group of people I am afraid to talk. I don't know why, I just start having huge panic attacks before I say something. I never raise my hand in class and I get really nervous before doing in class presentations (drama class was torture). I even get nervous talking amongst my friends at the lunch table. I usually talk a lot at home, which surprises my teachers and my classmates. I don't know if I'm the only one who does this or if some other people have this problem as well.

Same here. Before I have to speak to large groups, I like to envision myself as russle crowe in gladiator giving that speech to all the other slaves just before the big gladiator fight.
I end up reenacting the entire scene and failing my presentation to the confused dismay of all. They never understood what we do in life echoes an eternity.
