Is it normal for your parents to make you do this much work?
So my parents have enrolled me in Kumon. I started six years ago. Yesterday, I forgot to do my Kumon homework, so today I had to do four, which is about fourteen pages. I asked my parents if I could do three today and three tomorrow. They said no, and reminded me I had an incomplete packet to complete from last week. They also said I must do corrections. My dad said no, and my mom really could not care less. She was too preoccupied watching her stupid Korean dramas. Anyways, my dad said if I didn't do them all today, I would not get any Christmas presents, I would be grounded for a week, and no hanging out with my friends. In total, I completed seven pages of simultaneous linear equations, and seven pages of Shakespeare. I also corrected a packet, which has basically everything wrong. It took me three hours, and after I finished, my dad critisized my handwriting and scribbling. He also complained that I took too long. I want to say something, but then he calls me a slacker and that if I keep being lazy, I will not get into a good college or succeed in life at all. He also calls me a "f*cking retard" when I have trouble with my work. Is this normal, or is everything he says true?
