Is it normal for your jaw to crack and pop while you sleep sometimes?

I was wondering if anyone has this issue, occasionally during sleep, I feel and hear my jaw cracking and popping and moving itself on its own in and out of socket(or at least that's my guess) and it wakes me up half way and then I fall asleep again and usually wakeup with slight discomfort in my jaw. So has this happened to anyone else? I doubt its some weird dream because my jaw feels out of place afterwards..

That happens to me also except all the time. You might have a form of TMJ.

This happens to me a lot, I don't worry about it too much.

As a consequence of this exact issue, the "disc" in the joints in my jaw "slipped", and now it hurts to open my mouth fully, and it hurt for a long time to bite hard. I managed to slip it back in on one side after months. The other side is still a pain.
Don't let this happen to you...it's a bloody hassle.

Well do you sleep on the side of your face at an odd angle? I sleep like a frikkin tard sometimes and the way my jaw is on whatever part of the pillow, it like dislocates my jaw or something and when I open and close my mouth a few times it pops and feels weird. Then it goes back to normal soon after. It is a strange feeling. Is this similar :D
