Is it normal for your friend to call you names?

My friend is really optimistic and cheerful. I like that. But she also calls me mean names like bozo, dum dum, meanie, and a pepper(in korean pepper sounds and is spelled the same as a private part). But she also tries to cheer me up when I am sad and is always full of sympathy when I am depressed. But man, she can be really mean sometimes. Is she a real friend and does this happen a lot?

Dum dums are tasty lolly pops...and a name only children use to insult each other. And everyone knows that Bozo the Clown is fucking scary.

Talk to her about this. Use non violent communication, and tell her when you say yadda yadda yadda I feel blah blah blah.
