So my family decided to go on holiday, they booked flights and accomadation and I only found out about it the day before they left because I saw them packing and asked them were they were going. So is it normal for your family to go on holiday and leave you behind?
That depends. If you're thirty and still living with parents then it's normal that they travel without you. If you're old enough to cook and take of of yourself then it is great to be home alone (even if I think that they could have informed you that they were going). However if you're just a small kid call 911.

I'm assuming you're of an age where you can take care of yourself on your own for a while, if not then this is a problem.
I guess if your living with anyone, no matter what the circumstances, and they just randomly go on holiday without even mentioning it to you is a little rude! But if it's not real problem, fuck it, enjoy the peace and quiet that comes with an empty house. Dam I wish my family went on holiday more often!
This sounds like a premise for Home Alone. It sounds to me that they must not like you or that there's some other problem in regards to you. Perhaps, they find you annoying to travel with or they feel that they need a break from you. When they get back you can suggest that you all go in for family therapy. If they refuse therapy or simply talking to you about the affair, you could ask a therapist about this and see if, perhaps, the fault lies in some form of personality issue or something else.

Not very nice It sounds like your family dont care about you Holidaysare for familys to spend together ill bet you wont forgive them for this I would be very Bitter about this although you did not say how your relationship with then wasmaybe your not very close with them.
I think it's odd that they didnt inform you. I voted not normal.
