Is it normal for women to propose to men?

Honestly, I find that the man should propose to the women, or else the relationship just doesn't work... I mean, a woman proposing to a guy? That is just weird. I am in no way sexist, but, I don't know...Thoughts?

  • It's not really "normal" but there's nothing wrong with it in my opinion.

I reckon it's fine in this day and age.

Yeah, I agree. I'd drop every hint I possibly could, but I'll always wait for my boyfriend to ask me. I'm everything but a traditionalist, but I'd never want to ask.

Yes, I would like to think that our society has evolved enough for this to be normal. :/ I have nothing against it at all.

I suppose I'd have to step up if it took him ages..
I'm sure he'd love to be asked (which I also love), but I do know how much he loves planning (the few dates he remembers), so I'd rather let him do it. I'll be ecstatic and he'll be chuffed with his success. Aha.

  • I proposed to my husband. I don't see anything wrong with it, other than it goes against patriarchal traditions - which I do not support.

I'd love to be proposed to. But I do get that I'm the one supposed to be doing the proposing.

Its not unheard of just not all that common, not really sure why it matters who proposes first anyways just as long as you both are ready to make that commitment.
