Is it normal for women to like a man that can cook?

I'm 21 years old. I'm a good cook. I didn't go to culinary school or anything Ive just taken up the hobby. I really enjoy it! I mostly cook for myself and Ive had great compliments on my food. I'm vegetarian and only cook veg dishes. Guys always tell me women love a man that can cook. But is it really true? Maybe I should wear a t shirt that says ´´And I'm a good cook also'' or something like that...

Of course. Cooking isn't just a woman's job. I want a man who will cook with me. :)

Hey I'm a cook with 12 yrs experience and some culinary school... Girls have always loved the fact I can cook, but unforetunatly it is not that impressive of a skill (or career). Girls love it but it certainly doesn't "get the ladies", but it's great to be able to pair a nice wine with a good cheese, then bust out with a nice picnic while you're dating them!

Go figure, I'm with a gf who loves food and can't cook worth beans.

    I can't cook worth ANYTHING.
I can do home maintenance, mow my lawn, change oil and do car work and all of that jazz, but I can't cook worth anything.

So I had to get a man that could, definite turn on :D

I hate to generalize... but generally, yeah. I don't see how being able to cook could possibly be a negative thing. I've always wanted to get better at cooking, for my own sake and for the ladies.

Hey there's nothing wrong with men that cook.

My BF and my brother in law both love cooking and trying new items. My BF also likes to make me Filipino dishes such as lumpia (actually I help with the lumpia now) and pancit.

He's even said that his dream kitchen would have a 6-burner gas stovetop.

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lumpia

the ones i've had have been ground meat & veggie wrapped in a special thin wrapper and then fried.

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pancit
noodles with tasty stuff on them, like egg, meat, veggies, sauce etc

I wish I could cook or date a cook.

Someone who'd know how to make healthy things so, I wouldn't have to go to the store all of the time and risk the products:/

hehe, I usually hate cooking but when I am in the mood I love it. My bf enjoys it more than I do and he's a lot less messy. :P

Once he made fried chicken (first time). When he finished I took a bite and it was still raw. XD

I loved it when he made me a four course meal on Valentine's Day. He made a little menu and I got to choose what I wanted. ^.^
