Is it normal for women to have pain during intercourse?

I am 21 year old girl.
I have indulged in sexual intercourse for some time, but it still hurts down there. I want to enjoy the experience but for some reason, I am unable to do so. I have been suffering from hypothyroid ever since I was 11-12 years of age, in case it is related.

Basically, sexual intercourse is always painful for me. We have tried lubricants and different positions but nothing has helped. After all that pain, if we choose to continue, I go somewhat numb down there along with some pain.

Could it be a medical issue? Please let me know if any of you has undergone something similar and have answers to my problem.

It could be the guys you have been with had crooked penises and they knock inside you the wrong way. Either that or sex was too rough, or wrong positions.

    Or something.

It hurts because you're not fully relaxed.
Try foreplay, getting you wet might help aswell since natural lubricants (moistness from vagina) are way better more enjoyable.

Using lube doesn't help at all, ofcourse.

Maybe you should not have sex for some times - let's say a week and then try again. If it continues to hurt then seek some professional advice.
