Is it normal for weed to cause intense tingling?

When I first started smoking weed I feel like I got weed that was either much stronger than any other weed I've come across or that it could have been laced. The first time I smoked it (2-3 hits), I got what I can only compare to the spins from alcohol after about 5 minutes. I was quite nauseous and I basically couldn't move. I had to curl up on the floor for 15-20 minutes until the high got less intense or w/e. It felt almost like I couldn't move because if I did, it made the feeling worse. It was defiantly not anxiety as it just came out of no where and I wasn't panicking or even scared because I knew weed had never killed anyone.

Every time after that after taking 2-3 hits (for ~3 years), the high caused tingling in my scalp, like when you hear a new song for the first time and are just amazed by how good it sounds. After a few minutes, the tingling would be in my forearms and thighs. Like tiny little bubbles of pleasure rising to my skin from within and popping. The feeling would get more intense if I closed my eyes and just sat still. The tingling would last about 30 minutes and then it would just become a nice tranquil, dreamy head-change. I also was able to focus on everything around me better, like I was more connected to the world in some way. I remember thinking, about the 3rd or 4th time smoking this stuff, "everything is perfect in the world" and that "smoking this made me a better version of myself". When I listened to music I could hear all of the individual instruments separately but at the same time too. And everything was more interesting. I could grind in videos games for 2 hours without getting bored and while just listening to music. I got much better at video games as well, like my reflexes were elevated.

There was one single time that I was sitting at my computer playing minecraft when I just started to feel so good that I closed my eyes and my head started to droop forward a bit and i saw rolling hills of grass with a clear blue sky and there was a pink unicorn standing on one of the hills. It was like I was dreaming while awake. I opened my eyes after 30 seconds or so, but I think it would have continued for longer if I had kept my eyes shut. But that did only happen once.

I took a year long break from smoking and started to buy from someone else. Now weed just tends to make me a bit spacey and a little bit more relaxed. I don't really get "high" like I used to off this stuff.

Was it just really good weed or something else?

    Several things come to mind.
First, as the only thing that pot does to a person (other than the ill effects of inhaling the smoke) is take sugar from the blood, which is why most get the "munchies".
It sounds to me as if you could have mild, undiagnosed diabetes, and something messing with your blood sugar levels could cause the symptoms you are describing.
Second, on the same line, if you are not eating well/often or are a half-assed vegetarian, then you could be getting the double whammy of low blood sugar before you even light up.
As a safety measure, if you have a candy bar, or some other very sugary thing (cocoa?) around and are having an unpleasant high, just eat the candy bar and you'll be straight as an arrow in a few minutes.
Pot is supposed to be pleasant, though, so if you are not enjoying the high, why bother?

Yeah, I don't smoke often anymore.

What about the high that weed gave me (Second paragraph?) Is that a normal high?

That happens with NEW users alot. After you have used it for a time, your body get use to it, so you don't feel the HARD RUSH of a first time user. BUT, IT'S STILL GOOD! After awhile your mind can then let itself go on to really enjoy it's BUZZ.
    Don't worry about it.
BUT, stay away from "Laced" weed! (and harder stuff) Those can make you "SEE" things that are not real, and maybe hurt yourself, or others, because of what you "SEE".

That wasn't weed. It was either K2 or salvia. Both have mind bending trips with visual and auditory hallucinations. Sensations of sinking, floating, spinning, flattening can all be experienced with these drugs. That being said, fake weed in ANY form is extremely dangerous and toxic. The shit they spray on it to get u high is extremely toxic. It's been made illegal more times than I can count, they'll just tweet the formula a bit and change the name and it's back in the smoke shops. The one I work at stopped selling spice and bath salts because of what they do to u when used on a regular basis and they psychosis they can cause with just a single use.

Sounds pretty normal to me just some high quality weed. Especially the tingling you describe that is pretty normal.
