Is it normal for ur bf to look up erotic high school stories

I recently gave my bf permission to look up erotic stories. For I find porn extreemly insulting (I should be the only thing he wants to look at or move on). however he is a very honest and very loving bf. he is a published author very creative and smart, however. When I glanced through the history I found gay stories of high school kids (broke straight boy stuff none the less) I am extreemly concerned. I was molested at a high school age and just want to know if I'm being irrational. He says he had a really rough time in high school and these stories help him thru it. he uses the word cathartic. is this normal?

The problem is you're associating his interest in erotic fiction with your own issues. The two are unrelated except that it makes you think of what happened.

It's perfectly OK to read erotic fiction.

As for "permission"... first off you gave it, but more importantly, why does he need permission from you?

he need permission because he has violated my trust on this issue multi times. like i said. I am hugely not into porn, and find it insulting. and its fine to read erotic fiction, but dosnt the high school senerio make him a pedophile? to me a pedophile is someone who is even attracted to kids younger then about 20. (i am only 23 and i remember how much more mature i've become over the last 3 years) and the thought of him thinking about high school kids... uggh, is freaking gross. he is 26, and wayyy past the acceptable age to be looking up high school anything

Why would a pedophile be interested in high school students (imaginary or otherwise), that makes no sense.

I was 16 when I met my boyfriend who was 24 at the time. He's not a pedophile and we met at work. I have to agree with Angel. I don't think he should need your permission to read or watch porn and you're associating what happened to you with these erotic stories and such.

I visited my dad and his gf's house once and in the bathroom there were teen porn mags which I found gross b/c my dad's 46 but I don't think that makes him a pedophile either. I mean as long as the "kids" aren't children and look grown (18) you can't really say the guys/girls a pedophile. I don't think I'd ever want to look at old people or read about older people in erotic fiction! XP

Now if they make the girl/boy look like she's/he's 11 or something that's just weird.

First that does not make him a pedo. If anything it would make him an hebephile not nearly the same thing. One reason why he might enjoy that kind of story is because of personal experience. It could be a way of reliving old memories. Your statement about having betrayed your trust over porn is disturbing in the extreme. You don't like porn I get that but if he is. It flaunting it or throwing it in your face that's his business
