Forget about whether they are in love, forget about their maturity, their beliefs, and morals. Forget about protection, forget everything. Just think about the age. Is 14 too young to lose your virginity, is 14 too young for sex?

I don't think there is anything at all strange about 14 year olds having sex. It's normal and as long as precautions are taken, it's a good thing to do.
i voted no, but now that i think about, I wish i did get laid when i was 14. It seems like you get a lot more confident after you have sex
I think its much more normal than most adults think, most all of my friends had sex around age 13 and some even younger ... its nature and i dont think it will ever change, unless adults will keep total controle over teens all the time sex happens ... and if its safe like using a rubber then it does not ever ruin peoples lives like the above poster said ... it never ruined mine or anyone i know .. not one of my girlfriends got pregnant or had an STD,,, i think its a natural part of social development and maturity.

This is utterly and incredibly normal. The 'stuffed animal' stage is the impetus for the real thing getting stuffed. Normal beyond compare.

Technically, 13 is sexual maturity for humans. In some parts of the world, 13 is acceptable for sex. But in those parts of the world, education isn't seen as important.

I don't agree with you. Humans are indeed mature at 13 (some a bit earlier, some a bit later), that part is true. But then I think education is important if you really want to enjoy sex. Children should be learnt about what sex is and how safe sex works, otherwise they end up pregnant.
Sex at young age doesn't ruin the rest of your life, but pregnancy and having a child does. Americans however don't teach their children anything about sex, they just tend to keep them away from it. But children do have those feelings and they will expiriment with them. You can't stop sex from happening, you can only make them aware.
And yes, I lost my virginity at 13 too. But I did it safe and I don't regret it.
