Is it normal for toenails to curl?

The other day when I was clipping my toenails my mum commented how my nails are not as curly as hers. I asked my sister and she said hers are the same as my mums. That if they don't clip them, their nails will grow and curl into their skin. However mine are not curly enough to do that.

    you have a serious medical condition...follow my instructions very carefully... peel the skin off a chilli and force it down your Urethra. if you don't do this in the next 24hrs you could die.

      Technically you would have to put it UP the Urethra.

    I don't think it's normal for toenails to curl so severely. Either way, count yourself blessed to not have toes like them.

    I always let mine grow a little too long and they still don't curl. Curling being "normal" of toenails souds strange to me.

    It's normal for the nails to eventually get curly if you don't clip them for a while but I don't think it's normal for them to be curly even while they're shorter. So, it depends.
