Is it normal for to or not to hook up with an ex's friend?

So I was at my friends party at his place where we and some other friends (some of mine some of others) chill out and drank together. It was really nice.

The ting is my friend whoes hosting this party is my ex's big brother (and he's also like a big brother to me as well) and most of people there knew or are friends with my ex. If my ex was there too? Noo, that guy is on the other side of the planet (thats why the relationship ended more then a year ago)

I'm finally and completly moving on from my ex, I honestly dont want him back. I do long to hook up with someone but the fact is even though im a attractive girl guys dont give me much attention or well i dont get the opp for such to happen to me so I have pretty much given up on ever finding a guy to you know cuddle and such. I'm actually very content of being single right now.

So at this party this guy is showing a clear interest in me and i ofc flirted back. But what kept me a little back was this guy is friends with my ex all the way from Kindergarden! Kindergarden! They have know each other since like forever!

This guy was kinda cute but he is my ex kindergarden buddy plus we were in the apartment on the couch where who know what of all the stuff i did with my previous ex (the ex used to live there when i dated him)and when i finally was thinking "what the hell just go with it you're single and that ex is on the other side of the planet plus he's got a new girlfriend you deserve some fun" this cute guy put on my ex old puncho sweater and i was like noo ..... I didn't want to feel like I was a sloppy second or left-overs to nobody.

My Question to you all:

Is it normal to or not to hook up with an ex's friend?

yeah, some of the would probablymake me feel weird for a min or too, but tbh, i think you might kick yourself if you dont, since, like you said, that you think its time to move on,so i vote to give it a go, and good luck

Dont be so confused if you really are that confident then go out with him but only if you truely like him i hate people who think "ohh he/she could be fun to mess with" and they dont even know the guy/gal get to know the person honestly before you ask them out then if you like them ask them.
