Is it normal for this to happen, and how can it be solved?

my boyfriend has been having a bit of trouble and it's worrying us both, as it's been happening more and more.
no matter what we are doing (handjob, blowjob, sex, ect) if we change postion, he will lose his erection. sometimes he just loses it half way through something. at first he started blaming it on silly things, like the tv being too loud or people talking downstairs, and he's starting to pin the blame on me, and i feel it actually is my fault. he's isn't on medication. how do we stop this happening?

It could be many different things. A poor diet, lack of sleep, stress, low self-esteem, weight gain, or his hormones are still changing. Just don't argue over it and try to figure out what's wrong.

The older a guy gets the harder it is for him to keep it going. But anything out of the ordinary, like a dog barking, the feeling of carpet on his feet, anything that can break his concentration can cause him to lose it. If he has trouble getting it back, or any type of pain in the area, thats cause for worry. Otherwise, he needs to close his mind off and concentrate on what he's doing. Oh, and he also needs to stop worrying about it, because that stress can cause him to lose it also. Hell I lose mine if i go from leaning back in my chair, to sitting upright. Actually having sex with someone as a guy is 60% mental, 40% physical.

I go a little "numb" when in contact with moisture. It causes me to take longer. When I lost my virginity I lasted an hour, and she got tired and jacked me off haha. But I remember switching from missionary to doggy, that I had to spend several seconds getting it back up. Oddly enough, when I think back on that situation, I can finish in under 5 minutes, or sometimes spook myself thinking about it and lose it entirely. I'm not sure how often he gets off, I've found a nice balance at every other day, once or twice. Even with him being young he could just be keeping his tank near empty. Honestly, it sounds entirely like its a mental thing with him.
