Is it normal for this dude to keep approaching me?

There's this dude at my school, he will remain unnamed. I'm a gay male that's out. A few months ago, his friends came up to me and said that he loves me. Then they said that he wanted to eat my ass. :\ A few months later, he shouted "wanna fuck" across a parking lot to me, while everyone heard. Recently he came up to me and said hi, then to make it seem like he was just saying hi, he greeted all my friends as well. It makes me kind of uncomfortable to be around him now and I'm not interested. What should I do? Does he really have a crush on me, or is he just trying to get me to react? Is this normal? btw this is the first time this kind of thing has happened, so forgive me.

    My take is that he's playing it up for his buddies but he secretly wants you so he's overcompensating for being gay or bi-curious.
