Is it normal for the one who loves you to fall out of love?

My boyfriend of 3 years is acting distant an very independent lately. Is he falling out of love with me or what? I try everything to make him love me and nothing works. I'm tired of trying..

Unfortunately falling out of love is common.

sometimes to help someone to remember, we must do the complete opposite. 3 years relationship is always the hardest, the point either you go up and turn back down. Do nothing, stop the pampering and show him wants he's missing. I dont think its another woman if he is independent. Cheating men are always looking for someone to take care of them bcoz they're lazy SOB!

I've found 3 years is actually the time limit when 'lust' truly runs out and you discover whether it's love or not.

1st year - can't get enough of each other.
2nd year - can live with the other away on holiday, etc.
3Rd year - bye bye. I don't want you any more.

Let him go, you deserve better.

Don't try to make him love you. If he has fallen out of love with you which happens all the time let him go because you deserve so much better!

You should try to remember what he treasured about you in the beginning, and then add something exciting and new to the relationship! Good luck with your choices!

  • The comment that a lot of men have no loyalty made me laugh. Who do you think those guys sleep with? Females, unless all the cheating men are gay which I highly doubt it. Anyways.

Ask him if there's anything wrong. Maybe he did something that he regrets and is avoiding you. Ask him if he loves you. Maybe he is falling out of love, try to do something special to make him fall in love again. If nothing works, well it's sad to say but it's over.

I'm the one who submitted this. Whenever I try talking to him or get anything out of him, he gets mad and won't talk to me about it. He just says I'm overreacting.

Love is more correctly spelled "commitment", the warm fuzzy feelling will fade away and he (you too) will have times of when you are not as close as you were. You can make it through, just takes commitment. However, do make sure he doesnt have someone on the side.
