Is it normal for the oldest sibling to be heavily relied on?

I am the oldest sibling and I feel like the chores and tasks fall on me more than my similarly aged (21 month younger) brother. I pick up my sister, clean the pool, manage the computers, do repairs and maintenance of the house and cars. I have embraced this trust to get tasks done but my girlfriend thinks it's odd that I am leaned on so much. I think I know the answer but I wanted input. Thanks!

You are the oldest you get shit done. Deal with/embrace it. 9
If you have a knack for the task it's up to you. 2
Spread the chores by age. 2
Every sibling equal, you all live there. 7
Give it to the minions. You have seniority. 3

Eldest of 5 here - this is one reason firstborn children leave home earliest.

All good preparation for moving out. The more you have. The more you do. The more you get. Stop resenting the opportunity to lean how to complete tasks and get results. PS Watch your girlfriend she has a different work ethic to you. You are looking for a partner to lift you up in life not someone to hold you back.

I suggest you learn to delegate plus teaching your younger siblings how to carry out tasks they don't yet know how to do
