Is it normal for the male body to continue growing past the age of 19?

I just turned 19 and I still have a very childish looking body. I had a job as a cashier and a lot of people thought I was too young to be working. I would always get asked how old I was. I'm 5'6, 110 lbs. I have slender shoulders, a young boy face, and I can't grow very much facial hair. My voice is somewhat deep, but still a lot less deep than other boys my age. My body is sort of like Joseph Goebbels. Is it normal for the male body to continue growing past the age of 19?

I would not be worried about this. I am 31 and have had a similar issue when I was younger. I also dont age much. I look very young for my age. Although, when I look back at pictures of myself when I was 19 and compare them to pictures of myself today, I nottice I have not aged much yet one can see in my face a different more mature additude. As a friend of mine said "you still look like you are 19 but a more mature 19 year old."

I wouldn't worry about it, just drink some healthy protein shakes start eating more healthy fats and lift weights if you want a little extra edge.. It's been in my experience the later bloomers always end up being the most attractive, you don't want to peak too early! lol I have been told over and over I look young, mainly when I'm not dressed up or have no make up done and what not or I weigh too little.. seriously don't worry about it, these things just take time

Have two of your friends grab your arms and legs and stretch you out about once a day. You'll get taller.

Do not worry your pretty little face about it, when you turn 40 people will still be judging you much younger!

Everyone knows that all aging ceases as soon as you hit 19. See all the old people around you - they all looked exactly like that at 19, and have never aged a day since. Therefore you are stuck looking like a 14 year old for the rest of your life. Enjoy.

Alternately, if it's really a concern, go ask a doctor.

You will continue up to develop, albeit very slightly, until about 21. Fact is, you've basically stopped growing by 19 - at best you might gain another inch in height, maximum.

As for the rest of your bone structure, the bulk of the growth plates are fully fused and don't grow any more after about 16 anyway.

As I said, if you are seriously concerned, see a doctor.
