My friend since 3rd grade is getting married. She asked me to be her maid of honor today, I'm very excited for her, and I'm stoked to help her plan the wedding, but I can't help but feel a little jealous. My boyfriend and I love each other very much and have even talked about getting married, but we're not in a financially stable situation to even begin to think about getting engaged. (He wants it done right. Asking my dad, having a nice ring, the works)Is this normal for me to feel this way or am I being a selfish b*tch?

    Don't worry about it too much, you will have your perfect wedding too one day, for the time being just be there for her and be happy for her, after all this is what a maid of honor should do. Oh and yes it is normal .

    I think it's pretty normal, even though I doubt I'll ever get married I would absolutely love that dream wedding with the dress, the family and maybe the husband so I can completely understand, as long as you're happy for her and you're not treating her differently for it
