Is it normal for someone to like/fetishize rape? (read description.)

IN THE FIRST PLACE.., this is NOT for me. This is for one of my "friends".
So I have this friend, her name is... Let's call her Maria, and she's really nice to me; always!
I met her in June; while I was on vacation, and we still have contact. A week ago, she told me that she was a lesbian and had feelings for a girl of her class. I was, of course; fine with it. Until today. This afternoon, she called me on my phone as she always does; and all of a sudden, she asks me...
”Hey, can I tell you another secret?”
Of course, I said yes.
Her question blew me off.

”Do you think it is okay to fetishize rape, and to like it, somehow..??”

I was... Really scared to answer her. Why does she enjoy being raped? So I just told her that everyone had their fetishes and so, that was okay.

She proceeded to tell me that the girl she had feelings for asked her out for a "friendly meetup" at her house. But that now that she was in there, she told me that the other girl wouldn't shut up about rape, and that she was touching Maria so much. She said that she would do anything to be with her, even having sex... Even having UNWANTED sex.

But I know that it isn't right!!! I told her NOT TO DO IT, but she hung me up. She hasn't called me back since then.

PLEASE DO YOU THINK THIS IS NORMAL???
AND WHY??
I TRIED TO HELP HER.

No, it's not normal, but it's rather common. She sounds like an asshole for hanging up on you when all you were doing is giving her your opinion. Forget about that bitch, she's not worth your time.

From 1973 through 2008, nine surveys of women's rape fantasies have been published. They show that about four in 10 women admit having them with a median frequency of about once a month. So it isn't really uncommon for women to experience rape fantasies.

Rape fantasies can be either erotic or aversive. In erotic fantasies, the woman thinks: "I'm being forced and I enjoy it." In aversive fantasies, she thinks: "I'm being forced and I hate it." Forty-five-percent of the women in the recent survey had fantasies that were entirely erotic. Nine percent were entirely aversive. And 46 percent were mixed. So again "Maria" isn't really weird for fantasizing about rape and liking it.

Also there is a thing called rape play or sometimes called consensual nonconsent. Which is where the parties involved agree to roleplay in a manner where one is the victim of rape and the other is the rapist. That kind of thing isn't too uncommon in the BDSM community.
