Someone I went to school with posted that if Romney didn't win, she would kill herself. She added "whatev u do PLZ dont give the black muslim another 4 yrs!" It looked like it was just as empty as the people saying they're going to move to Canada. Or so I thought. I found out today that after the projections that Obama would win came in, she hanged herself. And to be honest, I think it's kind of funny. I'm sorry, but the fact that there was a conservative out there who was so racist she'd rather die than see "the black guy" be president for four more years is the kind of thing people make fun of all the time. How desperate are these people getting?

    Uh... I can understand being frustrated by Obama being re-elected (I know plenty of small business owners that are going to be raked over the coals by some of his tax policies that he proposes to put into place) but to kill yourself over it? That's pretty drastic.

    Better question, is it normal for someone to kill themselves, period? There had to be serious problems beyond the election.

    Also, that's what fearmongering does, makes people freak out. Like the lady who drove over her husband because of the election.

    Geez... that's really depressing :(

    I know that it can be frustrating to have someone you fundamentally disagree with be put into such a position of power, but suicide? That's extreme.

    I'm willing to bet that there were a number of issues plaguing her in her life other than just the presidency. If it were JUST her unwillingness to accept a black president, I can see the irony, but ending your life is a pretty big thing.
