Is it normal for someone to get 2 tax bills but only pay one?

So I just found out about an impending tax reaming due in a few months because my significant other only paid one of 2 tax bills we received. I see one paid but she claims she didn't pay the other one because it didn't "pop up" when she went online. I just did it on my phone, it POPPED UP fine, showing the extra 2500 we now owe. She won't even really let me question her about it. This is not a new thing eithier, constantly making these same mistakes with serious financial situations. But she insists she take care of it but ducks it up. What do I do?

    What taxes are you talking about? Property or business taxes?

      Property tax, I did find the billing forms a tad confusing, but I went online and saw all the taxes, easy. Now, we 4k instead 1400.

        I have mine worked into the mortgage so it's just one payment to worry about. See if you can do that, though I'm not sure if they can after the fact or not start working it in. Or sit down together to do it until she gets the hang of it. Definitely call the town if you have any questions, I have seen them make errors and you don't want to pay more than you have to.
