Is it normal for someone to change their mind so fast

Im a female who's wealthy and I go to a university thats very cheap. When I go to university, I always dress poor so people wont think more of me and try to harm me in some sort of way. Theres this girl there who you'd call posh. She's blonde, has had a nose job drives a Mercedes Benz SLK, but an old one that costs 10,000 dollars. Shes never been mean to me or anything but shes never really given this amount of interest while talking with me. Three weeks ago I started talking to her during our break, I forgot to keep my guard up and I told her about all the things I have and how this guy only wants to talk to me for money. She got really interested in the conversation. I spoke to her again yesterday at university, she kept repeating how we should hang out some time, how she wants to introduce me to her friends who are "nice and proper" and she wanted to know full details about what happened with the guy. Because I had already told her some things I lost my full guard and told her everything, how all the people Iv ever met in my life try to use me for financial benefits. She told me for the millionths of time how we should do something and to give chances to people not everyones the same. We exchanged numbers and she really seems interested in having conversations with me and being my friend, but I dont know if its only for financial gain like the rest or she really wants to be my friend.
