Is it normal for someone to be immiture then try to be mature?

A coworker of mine just recentlly got engaged and it seems like hes changed in a weird way. He's typically immiture, clown around kind of person and since the engagement whatever he finds what your doing as immiture and doesn't agree with it or think its not funny he'll treat you different. As if he's telling you, 'Thats imiture, grow up, I would never do something that dumb' and act all mature like he's a big grown up. Anyways is it normal to change this way after engagement? Or yet still act as you tipically would when its imiture time again?

  • So if he sees someone being immature its not ok for him to say it is immature but if you see him doing something immature its ok for you to complain about him?

    • He could have meant armature, as in any moving part of an electrical machine in which a voltage is induced by a magnetic field.

He could have meant that. I've seen guys act that way.

I'm sure that many of the men in the prison laundry where this fellow works act like armatures.

  • OP i think your co worker is just growing up bit by bit, its a big step getting engaged and it takes time and experience to be fully mature, sometimes people fail and do silly things once in a while, i know i do

Maybe he thinks that he needs to stop acting like a kid now that he is getting married?

      • What a pathetic comment I have never seen a man run away from something that needs dealt with and i have moved to alot of locations infact i have actualy seen women to be the ones who run away from responsibility or get their man to face it for them so dont say shit like that just because you see it in movies and television shows believe me woman are the ones who cant face responsibility take it from someone who has been around alot of places and seen it happen.

        • Bravo! One sentence.

Although poorly structured and indicating a person with a severe personality disorder.

But you got me! Yup, men never run away. No sir. We don't have over 40% of births in the U.S. to single women where the sperm donor has vanished. Oh, no. Doesn't happen.

I would continue but I fear more than one isolated thought at a time could severely damage your limbic system.

The doctor gives you those meds for a reason, take them.

          ItDuz not function.

Let me guess you think women are the better gender etc oh how you are all poorly done to yada yada
Yeah you like to throw around shit like that but if i told you that as a gender men are better you would dissagree even though they clearly are due to them making more needs for society than women
Oh not to mention if that number is true about how many men arent sticking around with their child then its just as much fault the wome for picking those types of assholes you all like to fall for the assholes then bitch about how you didnt know what type of person you choosed to be with even though you know perfectly.

            • I feel successful in life because I'm bloody rich and very happy. The rest of your post I couldn't decipher. Gave it to a friend that ran it through a bank of Cray supercomputers for weeks and they couldn't figure it out. Then we gave it to Watson and Watson said, "What is a sexually inadequate little man sitting at his computer in his underwear..

...now sexual deviates for $1000 Alex."

No ya silly. He acts immature. Then all of a sudden he will act mature when your not and frown at your immaturity. This has happened off and on ever since he got engaged, for the past year or so. Is this normal? Is this the marriage thing where people change?

i know a couple people who got married and suddenly started acting very pretentious. i have a cousin who is the same age as me, we used to play together as kids and as soon as she got married she started acting like she was my elder, so much more wise and mature. yes it's annoying as shit, and i have no idea why they do this.
