Is it normal for secularization to be profound?

I ain't sure as to whether it's normal. But I'm an agnostic, since then I invented my own way of life: self-transformation (changing your life, and changing yourself to be back to your original nature), it's not spirituality, but some meditation is necessary for true agnosticism, plus miracles do happen, I can't describe it, but I swear I was once in a perfect place of angels beyond my imagination, I find this profound, higher than the heavens of earth. I'm not sure there is God, but I detect, look for clues and get to the bottom of this. I find self-transformation profound. And my life has meaning, is profound, but secular, is that normal?

There's more to this way of life I invented than self-transformation: all the rules I follow to be agnostic (pow, blows my mind). However, in my way of life are other things: I'm an idealist, for I can't stand ascetic practices, when I was an agnostic the first day, I had true dignity, and thought that atheists liking me better would be strange. And it feels profound, however, I observed on a website what an agnostic is (unknowable word, no one knows why, but it's knowable to me and easy to understand), I thought about this, I was surprised, I'm an agnostic, but the self-transformation thing, which you say is like Buddhism, are pure techniques from spirituality because I can't prove as to whether the people are wrong. I study books on God and use science of structuralism to know the details of its structure, I've proven a very few things: Jesus wants you think he's king, He died on the cross for forgiveness of Him and our sins, and the Jews invented non-standard religion (not Judaism) to be nicer than Jesus. However is the feeling of true peace not religious or true dignity strange? And one more thing, the thorough search for God with such agnostic methods is a switch from an atheist agnostic to a theist agnostic.

Sounds similar to Buddhism. It isn't concenerned with God, just self transformation in order to stop yourself feeling suffering. Most of the beliefs that people think come with it are just misconceptions. E.g. Karma really just means that your actions have affects. e.g. if you're not nice to someone they won't be nice to you.

Sounds nothing like Buddhism. Sounds like Secular "Buddhism", but Buddhists around the world are up in arms about those guys.

Yeah, it sounds like you're grasping at straws. Which is normal. Attaching terms like "profundity" to the concept of being "secular" is not normal according to the most asshole-ish of Atheists (who won't hesitate to call you their "lost children"). But, not understanding anything about the universe and feeling blessed nonetheless is perfectly normal.

I want you to try an experiment that will validate your feelings of profundity. Look up at the night sky in a city. Drive to a secluded area. Look up at the night sky. There you go.

Most religions have messages and advice that are very useful regardless of you're beliefs

Yes, even LaVey, Rael, and Hubbard stumble on the truth sometimes.

  • If you're happy with your life, then it has meaning.
