Is it normal for ppl to not wash hands after using a public bathroom?

I was in Target and needed to use the bathroom. I was so surprised at the number of women who didn't wash hands. I say 4 of 5 didn't. Like Ew Thats too many for comfort. Am I the only one who actually goes thru a minute wash routine? If u dont wash away from home does it mean they don't at home?

I'm a guy, and personally if someone uses a public bathroom they should always wash their hands.

I ALWAYS wash my hands. I would feel disgusted if I didn't. I even have a small bottle of disinfectant liquid (or something) in my car.

    Wow...

Note to myself: No more handshakes with people I don't know

  • At home I don't unless I pooped, in public places I do mostly because people are in there, and I DO care what they think.

I do, but I also note who doesn't, then I tell my other co-workers and name names :)

Does it really even matter? If you watch those people who ARE washing their hands, they're not doing it properly or thoroughly (and it makes NO difference if it's an antibacterial soap or not). Then they touch things such as faucet handles, paper towel dispenser, button on an air dryer, the door handle when exiting....thier purse that they set down god knows where, their shoelace that came untied in there, the bottom of their pants that was dragging on the floor....so do you really think it makes a bit of difference?

Kind of like thinking a paper toilet seat cover is going to protect you from anything. It's not going to.

I rarely use a public restroom outside restaurant's unless I just HAVE to! Maybe I am just beating the dead horse here, but I don't think its wrong not to atleast try washing the shit or urine stains mixes with TP off of your hand! I know its about the things we cant see with our eyes but it doesn't mean I'm going to willingly sit on a piss covered toilet seat. I don't sit on public seats anyway, I squat and I flush with my foot.

I come out get some towel paper or tissue. Wash my hands for a min or while sizing up myself in the mirror. Dry my hands quickly, off the water, use paper to open door and walk out looking for the nearest trash can. Lastly I have a lotion with anti bac in my bag and im good to go.

This has been wired in my head since a kid and its apart of my kids public bathroom routine. My kids express to me the number of ppl they see dont wash hands. It's lazy and disgusting; to me its just one of those deeply rooted things you were taught as a child. Along with washing before every meal, every time you use the rest room or prepare food. I guess that's just me. ....but Just because we touch things all day anyway doesn't mean okay to walk around with shit stains on your hands too.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that it is abnormal. It is however very disgusting. I would never dream about waliking out of a toilet without washing my hands a side from the fact I would not want to be semi responsible for spreading deseases I also would not want to be "talked about!" x

with me its 50/50, like if i really think touching my cock for a second made a differenc ein how dirty my hands really were, or if toilet paper didn't protect my hands from getting dirty. also depends, if theres other people in there i feel like i either gotta wash or sneak out lol

At home I always wash my hands, in public I normally only wash after taking a dump unless the facilities are very clean. The problem is the public facilities are normally so filthy that it makes me feel dirtier just touching anything in there including the faucet.

If I'm at home, I usually don't. If I am in public though, I usually always do because I know that I have handled contaminated things like doorknobs and stuff.

I think it may be normal but it sure is disgusting. We can only hope they used hand sanitizer instead.

How do you know those women even used the toilet? There are lots other things women do in the bathroom (fix clothes, change pantiliners, fart, etc...)

If you think its okay to change a pan-ty liner and not wash hands I hope we never get the pleasure of meeting.

I agree that women visit the restroom for a variety of reasons including building social relationships.
