Is it normal for pink & blue to be a gender specific colors?

I think you should like whatever color you like. Placing rules on things.... especially these kinds of things is crazy and a waste of energy.

I would pick purple.

If you don't like it the best way to challenge the tradition would be to ignore it.

Just throwing it out there, in the early 1900s, pink was for boys and blue was for girls.

Pink was a masculine color up til the 1950's.

Well, pink ties are in fashion again, But honestly.. would you have taken CEO Steve Jobs of Apple computer seriously if he had a hot pink iphone and wore neon pink pants? Some things are just what they are for a reason, I guess.

This is a good post. I hate how society makes a big deal about these colours. There's a big toy store in Britain that recently got rid of the colour system. I think other places should follow suit.
