Is it normal for people to turn away when they look at you?

Lately when i talk to people from up close they turn away when they talk to me. Am I ugly? They have no problem looking at me when I talk to them from far away. What's wrong?

      whodat, have you watched spongebob? this is a perfect example of the episode of spongebob where he has the "uglies" when he actually just has bad breath haha

    Maybe people have always done that and your just now noticing it. It is only natural to look away when someone is looking at you when you are physically close to them. Observe your self and see if you do the same to them!

    Staring at someone in the eyes is a sign of aggression in the animal kingdom, and even though we're highly advanced, we are still animals. That instinct is still in us.

    It's against human nature to be confrontational, starring somebody in the eyes can be taken in that way.
