Is it normal for people to stare?

Quite alot of the time I'll just be minding my own business walking along a street, and then I'll start to notice everyone staring at me. I notice hardly anything normally, so they're definately being really obvious. Every time this has happened I have checked myself in the mirror or asked a friend, making sure I didn't have a bogey hanging out there or something (which I didn't). Also, it's not like it's one of those 'lulz look how hot I am, everyone is staring' stares, because women stare too. AND I swear (though I'm not at all sure because I suck) that all of them have really bewildered expressions on their faces.

This really puzzles me. Does it happen to you?? WHY DO THEY STARE?¿!?!?¿! Godammit....

    It is rude to stare. But if it is happening a lot, then consider what you may be doing. If you are behaving like a freak or something, for example, don't act surprised. Otherwise next time go up and ask: "What are you staring at?"

    I've had my share of stares too. One time there was woman that was looking at me and when I passed out of her line of vision I could see out of the corner of my eye that she turned around so she could keep staring as I walked away. God I felt like going up and punching her in the face. Even though I would never do that to someone I sometimes feel like I could. Plus I'm very shy in real life so I can never speak my mind. If I could I would of told her to mind her own friggen business and look at something else.
    Staring is just plain rude and that is why I don't do it.

    It happens to me too and I HATE it!

    I know it's not me though. I think it's just a normal human behavior, but most people have enough self-control & manners to know that it's exceptionally rude to stare at people.

    gah, I certainly don't look freaky, apart from being tall I can't think of why'd they do it :/ Plus, I'm only talking about times when I'm not behaving like an idiot; I fully accept the stares in those instances.

    It must be the elephant I carry around :/
