I don't really know what's cool and what's not cool, but is it common that people read the lyrics from the website? Because most of the songs I listen to have large background noise, not able to hear the words. My peers tell me that only fans, or amateurs would bother to read the lyrics. What do you think?

but for more i only read the lyrics when can't here the lyrics or when i really love the song.

There is no "right" way to enjoy music, and just because you read the lyrics doesn't make you an "amateur."

i think that lyrics are as important as the background music... and english is not my first language but i only listen to music in english so normally i look up the lyrics bc i can' t catch everything.

I think the words to songs are just as if not the most important thing in a song.
I'm sure most people read the lyrics to songs as they're listening. Either so they can sing along and make sure they have the right words (not that lyric websites always have the correct lyrics), or just out of curiosity. It's like wanting to read a poem. Nothing wrong with that.

Absolutely normal! I do the same. Most of the songs that I listen to are about something that happened or is happening to me, so the lyrics are important to me.
It's almost impossible to interpret some of the stuff I listen to (eg. lo-fi) so yeah, it's okay to look up the lyrics.
