Is it normal for people to clean up after you?

Is it common for people, especially females you're associated with (your mom, sister, spouse, etc.), to clean up after you even if you haven't made much of a mess?

I've noticed that minutes after I've gotten out of the bathroom, for example, a female family member will go directly into the bathroom and start cleaning up stuff I've already cleaned up as well as the average guy would probably care to clean up.

I can't help but find this a little degrading. It makes me feel like the females in my family seem to think I'm incapable of cleaning up. But perhaps it's just normal (normal as in common) for females to feel like it's their duty to clean up after men. I've heard quite a few stories about women who constantly clean up after their husbands.

What do you people think? Is it common for females to clean up after men like this, or not? Am I wrong in finding this degrading (I honestly feel that I do a good, if admittedly not great, job of cleaning up after myself; if I did a bad job of cleaning up, then I'd understand why people would feel the need to clean up after me)?

    I was that way about an ex's kitchen. I always cleaned it because I just like super crazy clean kitchens, the kind that smell like lemon Lysol and everything. I hope I didn't offend him but he did his share of cleaning up after me so I don't think he felt bothered by it. I myself have people, including boyfriends that will clean up after me simply because that is just the kind of people they are. They have admitted to being restless or just not minding and cleaning up is either a way to beat boredom or just something they have to do, they don't mean anything by it. This is probably the attitude of the women around you. Sometimes doing it themselves is easier or simply something they’ve gotten into the habit of doing anyway. I’m sure it beats being nagged at!
