Is it normal for people to be turned off by my gender situation?

I'm just going to come right out and say that I was born a hermaphrodite. My parents never had anything done to correct my situation (probably because our health care plan sucks), so I've grown up like this my entire life. I've learned to accept my differences and I'm not afraid to be outspoken about myself to people I meet, but it has been extremely hard to find someone willing to have a serious relationship with. Everyone I try explain my hermaphroditism to in an attempt for them to get to know me usually ends in a weirded out facial expression and an awkward rest of the evening afterward. For some reason I can't find anyone that is attracted to someone like me... Is this normal, or am I just having really bad luck?

Wow... I'm REALLY the first to comment on this?
    Cool!
I feel this may come across like Fabienne from Pulp Fiction but I'll let you know, straight up, I think hermaphrodites are sexy.
I'm not trying to be sarcastic or play a mean joke, I'm serious. I am a bisexual female. I adore women and the female genitalia but I love the male sex organ, as well. Here's where it get's a bit complicated; I want to be monogamous but whenever I've had a serious girlfriend or boyfriend, I crave the opposite. I'm currently with a man who I've been with for about three years &, although I've been faithful, I fantasize about women whenever I'm alone.
For years I wished I could run into a lesbian or bisexual hermaphrodite that loves her body exactly how it is; share an intellectual, emotional, & physical attraction; & then get together so I could worship the ground she walks on forever.
...so, yeah. I don't know what sex your attracted to or what your type is but rest assured, Honey, somebody out there wants you & thinks YOU ARE JUST THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CREATURE TO GRACE THE PLANET.
    I'm just sayin'.
I wish you luck on your search for that special someone but I don't think you need it all that bad.

  • I won't say it's weird because there are probably a lot of like that. But there are people who find the idea of being with a hermaphrodite sexy as well & probably some who are indifferent towards the idea. I heard there are also special dating sites for hermaphrodites & the people who are interested in dating them. I'm a bisexual/pan-sexual and I think it's hot. I'm kind of stereotype in that regard. I have a feeling that most people who are into hermaphrodites are bi/pan-sexual. Of course, that's not to say we all are. Anyway, I hope you find somebody who loves you for you & isn't bothered by your hermaphroditism.
