Is it normal for older men to hit on me?

I wanted to know what guys and girls think about this. The only men that seem to ever hit on me openly are ones that are far older than me, never my own age. They're usually 6 years older at least, sometimes in their late twenties, thirties and sometimes even forties.

Now, I know that I don't look a lot older than I am. I just turned 18 a lot of men tend to do it when I'm with my friends shopping or I'm in my school uniform coming out of school.

Why do they do this? Is it that they're more confident when they're older? My friends often point out that these men are giving me the eye and it isn't just a simple friendly hello. Usually they ask my name straight away, and where I go to school, where I live and where I'm going - not that I'd answer them anyway because it's creepy.

Is this weird or normal behavior ?

    Any guy that says he doesn't want to shag a good piece of 18 year old poon is lying so yeah it's normal.

    That's so gross, when old man probably with balls that stretch down to their knees hit on young girls it's irritating too.

    it's wrong .. i'm 18 and i only date girls my age younger girls are way too immature and well i'd never say no to a hot cougar tho

    When i was 16 i had boyfriends at ages 20-25... i think it was because i looked like i was in my 20s thats how old i looked haha and i was pretty outgoing and partying/ drinking doing me ... Yolo

    xD my friend has this problem but she looks older than she is and she's really pretty! I find it hilarious, but she HATES it hahahaa It's fine, just ignore those skivy old perverts.

    Everyone should have your problems, to be so gorgeous and self confident looking that you are desired by all ages for companionship and more! Learn to use it to your advantage and you will go far!

    OK I am in the older crowd, and my gf is 11 years younger, but this is ok at my age.

    The rule of thumb is: take the older person's age, divide by two then add 7. Anyone younger than that fails the "creep" rule.

    So if they are exactly 30 to your 24 (I'm guessing by what you said) then they are not failing the test, because you'd have to be younger than 22 for that to occur.

    Think of it this way: men at 30 are at the same maturity level as a 24 year-old woman, so it's an even match.

    BTW when I was young like you, women my own age didn't like me, but those younger did; and BTW in the national marriage statistics it's a proven fact that there is an age difference, men being older in general, and women being younger, so in a way it's actually normal.

    Sorry you don't prefer it, and you are entitled to your feelings.

      ok then do the reverse: take the younger person's age (her being 18), multiply by two then subtract 7.

      18x2-7=29

      then anyone older than 29 fails the "creep" rule.

      wait a sec...

      ok so now we have an older age of 29

      29/2+7=21.5(22 rounded up)

      somehow the persons younger age went from 18 to 22

      wait a sec...

      take the new younger persons age of 22 and put it in place of the older persons age.

      use the persons older age from 29 to 22 and follow the rule of thumb.

      22/2+7=18

      18 is the actual age of the younger person...

      weird...

      but I guess we found her "rule of thumb" age

      anyone over 22 fails the "creep" rule.

      or I guess she can just go with whoever she feels comfortable with regardless of age lol

    It seems to be normal. The older you get, the older the guys that hit on you get. Its not awesome.
