Is it normal for no one to see that a person is narcisisstic ?

Okay so there is this female gym trainer that i am sure is narcisisstic ,i read about narcisissim and she has alot of its traits , the thing is everyone loves her , can't blame them , she has this magic and charm, not to forget that she's fake and cool ,that makes people love her , look up to her ,attracted to her , but no one sees that she is narcisisstic ,it's really obvious that she has a personality disorder , or is it "The elephant in the room " plus being so charming that you ignore that she's bad? , she even mentioned a couple of times in the gym "If you see my name again , don't/never come again , i am a bad girl ."

    Wow....that's the longest sentence I've ever read (despite its grammatical errors).

    Why should you care if she's a narcissist? Why did you even bother to diagnose her? If you have something against her, then talk it out with her. If you want her to get treatment, then help her. Don't just expect her to change if no one bothers to.

    Anyways, if that's who she is and people don't mind, then go along with it. There's no need to gossip about the lady if you dislike her for no other reason than her personality trait. From what I've read, it sounds like you don't like the attention that she gets. You jelly?

    I don't know, I think you might be looking too far into it. Maybe in reality she's really just a bitch who covers it up with charm and kindness, and only once in a while that bitch comes out... and she tries to quickly cover it up again by saying that no one knows how to take a joke. She's spending way too much time hiding her true self.

    Or she says the something, and when no one laughs she gets embarrassed and to cover up the embarrassment says, that no one knows how to take a joke. She could also see that it was offensive whatever she said, and then quickly blurts out that it was a joke so she doesn't lose her followers/people who kiss her butt.

      They are very immature for thier age , very self-centered , very charming and most of the time have great social skills , very confident (or show lots of confidence,not necessarily have it ) , very boastful , they humilate others , say bad things in a witty way , that people don't get that they are being offended or take it as a joke, care only about themselves , are fake ,are very jealous .You can google about narcissim to know more ,and i'm sure you met one !

      yea , she even says about people who don't laugh(usually everyone laughs when she says mean things ) when she says witty and sarcastic things "they don't tolerate a joke "

        Yeah definitely a narcissist move. Classic say something edgy and then immediately dismiss it as a joke. Yeah she's fake and it's bad.

        I've had a run in with a fake. A guy that would joke about being a man whore... guess what he was a womanizer. Are your friends youngish? Sometimes young people can't pick up on fakes. Fakes just don't make sense to them. If your friends like her so much and reasoning doesn't work just use the phrase I used on mine. "You know what he/she is, and I feel like being friends with a person like that is like saying that I'm ok with he/she is. I'm not okay with it"

        Your friends just might need to grow up a little.
