Is it normal for nerds to not know how to swim?

Not bashing nerds or anythin', it just seems nerds are so bright and intellectual, yet they do not know how to swim, or swim like rocks. I'm a nerd myself and the exception, but I know a lot of other nerds and none of them can swim at all. Can someone tell me why this is? Some are in their 20's, and they too cannot swim. Is this normal? I first assumed all nerds could swim because they are bright.

    That's odd. I mean, it's odd that you associate swimming and intelligence. It's a sport, isn't it? Not something "nerds" are typically associated with.

    Being a nerd has zero to do with whether or not you can swim. The same goes with level of intelligence.

    Then... I guess Water-Type Pokemon aren't your... type. Meh, I can swim... okay, I guess. My friend's a nerd, but she swims like WOW! But she tried to get me into synchronized swimming... Same with Couman and Avant-Garde. This doesn't have anything to do with being a nerd or not!

    I am a sworn enemy of Demogorgon, and his aqautic allies are extremely hostile to me. That is why I don't swim.

    Well I notice more often than not nerds consistently dont know how to swim. Or swim like rocks..
